Hi Adam - I'm not especially computer literate or on facebook so this is the way I have found you so far - hope you read comments - I saw your master narrative vid on TYT. You and the author of the book may have thought of this already but I had an additional level of thinking to add to your method of articulating the emotional progressive message - each side conservative and progressive has contradictions - they have to integrate an element of the other to become full. Imagine concentric circles with empowerment at the core ( though it could combine empathy as well - different combos possible). then empathy, responsibility, protection. The root of contradiction is always in the core, take empowerment/empathy - the core is essentially libertarian or anarchist - most isms try to answer the private public tension. Contemporary progressive thinking sieves the past for nuggets to provide cultural continuity (empathy) like conservatism does but essentially pushes the reset button but it doesn't fill the void like the conservatives do with the imagery of past norms - there is an amorphous culture of progressive thinking that is then modulated by 'discussion' as you explained in your video - there needs to be more than just about articulating a master narrative - something Obama did well in his previous campaign - the core of how an individual relates to society is missing in Obama. Personal freedom has been down played by the other 3 and the conservatives profit from this (literally). The Gay marriage issue is a rare moment when the individual rights are articulated against the traditional culture - though it only came about because public opinion had shifted - the progressives shrink from the core value of empowerment if the mob demands it (hence democratic) - the democrats need to take individual empowerment to their core and have all other policy come out from this - essentially you are free to do anything and empowered to do anything so long as it does not cross social norm limits of harm (balanced by common sense and practicality/community/education/welfare) - self harm limits exist also but are much higher. Laws then flow from this platform - progressives allow good intention to subvert individual freedom simply because it is not overtly addressed in discourse or policy. the conservative response is hold back change in nearly all forms because this contradiction is not addressed. Blah Blah hope there is some interesting thoughts here.

What I have just seen is true. I've seen & experienced this type of behavior my entire life. I have a lot of rage due to "entitlement" attitude.

I basically learned about virtually all of this, but that being said, I still assumed it turned out helpful. Good task!
